Welcome November!October is now over, which means solar eclipse season is officially over.
The last lunar eclipse in Taurus caused power outages; I didn’t have internet access for a few days.
Power outages are very archetypal eclipse energies. During a solar eclipse, a light fixture is “eclipsed,” or shadowed, so that it does not function as usual. When we have a solar eclipse, the sun’s disk is eclipsed or shadowed by the moon’s disk.
During a lunar eclipse (like the one we just had), the moon is obscured by the Earth’s shadow. On a symbolic level, this means that there are earthly circumstances that interfere with the Moon’s plans and require our immediate attention.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned about astrology, it’s that I should always go by the timing of the universe, not my personal timing. The universe always knows best simply because it has a larger perspective.
But there are times when our individual perspective is important.
If we had the eclipses in October and the most prominent planet was the fateful and transformative Pluto, now in November it is the most prominent planet Marsthe planet of personal will.
We are in Mars-ruled Scorpio season, we have a new moon in Scorpio conjunct Mars, and a brand new Mars synocycle begins in the sign of Scorpio.
This is interesting because Mars is the lower octave of Pluto, meaning there is a relationship between these two planets.
If October brought us eclipses and fateful events (Pluto), November is the time to step back and look within. What does all this mean from an individual perspective?
Mars is our motivation to assert ourselves and achieve what we want. When we activate our inner Mars, we walk the path.
We are on our hero’s journey.
We learn about the world around us. We fail, we get back up, and we fail again. At some point we will reach the finish line, which is a victory in itself regardless of the outcome.
